How to identify fake candidates while screening?
Many a times we come across profiles which look authentic bu then turns out to be fake later in the interview process. How can we eliminate such cases at the screening level?

IT Industry has thousands of fake folks out there, its all about how smart is the fake candidate. If he or she is too smart, then he can bypass any strategy of yours or AI.
But here are a few tips around how to minimise fake candidates
Asking such open ended questions which can be only answered by people who have been physically part of the project, this helps in weeding out lot of fake candidates as they would stammer or wont have a proper answer.

Another great tip is to reverse search an image on google.
You can easily spot a fake LinkedIn profile that way too.

To answer your question, We should dig deep in a resume and look for:
Analyzing their gaps between education & employment
We need to check if they moved carrier from functional to technical also if they had self-employment period.
They dont give proper justification about the reason for leaving a job.
More importantly we should check the candidate email id whether they mentioned technology in that or not.
Example
Babu is a fresher, he wanted to get job so he will learn which very easy tech stack. Now he will check with his friends or relation circle and identify the top 2 to 3 tech stack which is demandable in the IT industry.
he will go for a training in the institute and learn the datawarhosuing tech stack like and datastage and abinitio and then he looks for a job oppotunity, thats why he use to prepare to 2 resume & emaild such as babu.datastage@gmail.com, babu.abinitioa@gmail.com
